The project was a pilot and was based on the experience of the Solidarity Fund PL in Ukraine in implementing projects to support and develop social services in territorial communities. The main goal of the project was to improve the system of providing psychological assistance to ATO/JFO veterans at the level of territorial communities.
Within the framework of the project, psychologists of 6 territorial communities in Chernihiv Oblast were trained in the basics of providing psychological assistance to veterans and their families and received the necessary competencies and skills. In addition, pilot mechanisms for providing psychological assistance to veterans as a social service were developed in communities, in particular identifying needs and problems, and re-management mechanisms were established. The project also included integration and education events to re-integrate veterans into the community.
