Medical professional development courses focusing on battlefield trauma

Advanced Training of Medical Personnel in the Treatment of Military Trauma Project covers the development of the health system and expert support for medical professionals. The project was a response to the lack of system solutions and personnel that can provide specialized psychological assistance to people who are faced with the consequences of traumatic stress caused by military operations. The aim of the project is to prepare, implement and evaluate a training program for a group of 15 Ukrainian professionals in the field of mental illnesses (psychologists, psychiatrists) related to military traumas and develop a network of contacts of these professionals for mutual expert support. The project is being implemented by personnel of the Military Medical Institute of the Republic of Poland on the basis of Klevan Regional Hospital for War Veterans.
The project was co-financed within the framework of the Polish development cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland.
