Psychological First Aid: social work training courses

The Psychological First Aid: Guide for Field Workers was a response to the challenges faced by Ukrainian communities after the start of a full-scale war, namely, the growing need for psychological assistance for people. The purpose of the pilot project is to develop a methodology for conducting training activities on providing first aid to social workers who encounter people in need of psychological assistance in their daily work. Within the framework of the project, 3 trainings were held in Chernihiv Oblast and the effectiveness of these exercises was evaluated. The conclusions obtained as a result of the project will become the basis for further project activities in this direction. Professionals who have been trained already successfully provide first aid and psychological support in their communities, in particular, when working with internally displaced persons, children, families in difficult life circumstances, and share their knowledge with their colleagues.

The project was co-financed within the framework of the Polish development cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland.
